The City of Trinity and Randolph County Sheriff's Office is hosting a grand opening ceremony on June 12th for the new Trinity – Randolph County Sheriff's Office Substation. The ceremony will start at 5:30 PM. The ceremony will take place at:
Trinity City Hall Annex, 6701 North Carolina Highway 62, Trinity, North Carolina 27370
This will include a grand opening ceremony, a ribbon cutting, a walkthrough of the substation and a reception.
The new Substation is a partnership between the City of Trinity and Randolph County Sheriff’s Office to increase the law enforcement presence within the City Limits of Trinity. The Substation will provide office space for Trinity assigned deputies to conduct daily operational duties. The Randolph County Sheriff’s Office has moved the Archdale Desk Officer to the Trinity Office to provide services during business hours. The Sheriff's Office services have expanded at the new office to include: a safe exchange point with security surveillance. Additional services will include fingerprinting and permitting available in the future, with the intention of providing a full-scale of Sheriff’s Office services in the City of Trinity.
Mayor Richard McNabb stated that “The City was able to renovate the old City Hall with a local funding allocation from the North Carolina General Assembly with the support of Representative Brian Biggs. This is a momentous day not only for the City of Trinity and Northwest Randolph County, but for those individuals who dedicate their time and efforts to make this new facility a reality. I commend all those who worked to make this day possible.”
Randolph County Sheriff Greg Seabolt stated that “This is another way that the Randolph County Sheriff’s Office is working with other entities to bring a better service to our citizens in the Trinity-Archdale area. We look forward to serving this community with an office that provides us with an opportunity to meet people face to face. With a world increasingly using video and audio chat forums such as Zoom; we are feeling the importance of personal interactions.”
