Commissioner Meeting Recap for October 6, 2025
The October meeting of the Randolph County Board of Commissioners included a centennial celebration, as well as several funding requests.
A few highlights:
- Recognized Mrs. Betty LaGrange as a centennial recipient, being that she will be 100 on October 11th. Her family joined her in attendance as well.
- Commissioners adopted a Proclamation to commemorate October as Industry Appreciation Month.
- A Public Hearing was held regarding proposed changes to the United Development Ordinance (UDO) in relation to sign regulation updates. After the Public Hearing, the Commissioners tabled the decision until the November 3, 2025 meeting.
- Agricultural Center Coordinator Taylor Wright presented the Commercial Kitchen Fee Schedule; approved
- County Manager Zeb Holden requested position reclassifications (3 separate requests) to Commissioners; approved
- Manager Holden and County Engineer Paxton Arthurs presented information regarding the Renewable Natural Gas development opportunities for the Great Oak Landfill. The Commissioners authorized staff to enter contract negotiations on this project.
- The Annual Meeting of the Board of Commissioners and Randolph County School System Board of Education was set for January 12, 2026.
- The Board of Commissioners 2026 regular meeting schedule was approved.

The next regular meeting of the Board of Commissioners is set for 6pm on Monday, November 3, 2025.
