On November 10, 2023, the Randolph County Sheriff’s Office responded to Langley Rd., Staley, in reference to a larceny/theft of a firearm. The victim had located the firearm at an area pawn shop.
Following the investigation, charges were sought against Brandon Michael Cooke and Carrie Anne Mote for felony obtain property by false pretense, felony possession of a stolen firearm and felony larceny of a firearm.
On November 30, 2023, Cooke was located, arrested and transported to the Randolph County Detention Center where he was served the warrant. He was issued a $20,000 unsecured bond and a first appearance was set for December 1, 2023, in Randolph County District Court.
Mote was located on December 14, 2023, arrested and transported to the Randolph County Detention Center where she was served her warrant. She was issued a $1,500 secured bond and a first appearance was set for December 18, 2023, in Randolph County District Court.
