On December 4, 2023, the Randolph County Sheriff’s Office responded to Skyview Ct., Trinity, in reference to an armed person. Communications advised that the caller had reported that Terry Dwayne Walker was threatening to cause harm to himself and others at the residence. Upon arrival, deputies located Walker, who initially did not comply with commands but were able to secure him a short time later.
Deputies located the victim inside the residence who reported having been assaulted and denied use of a phone. EMS arrived and evaluated Walker and the victim. Walker was transported to Randolph Hospital for further evaluation.
Charges were sought against Walker for felony assault on an individual with disabilities, felony kidnapping, and interference with emergency communication. The magistrate found probable cause and issued a warrant for arrest.
On January 11, 2024, Terry Dewayne Walker was arrested by the Randolph County Criminal Apprehension Team. He was transported the Randolph County Detention Center where he was served his warrant. Bond was denied and a first appearance was set for January 12, 2024, in Randolph County District Court.
