On January 2, 2024, the Randolph County Sheriff’s Office Vice Unit searched a residence located on Old Turnpike Rd. in Trinity. Detectives located and seized Mushrooms, Steroids, and items of drug paraphernalia. Charges were later sought on Lee Michael Byerly for felony possession of Schedule I controlled substance, misdemeanor possession of marijuana paraphernalia, and misdemeanor simple possession of Schedule III controlled substance.
On January 19, 2024, the Randolph County Sheriff’s Office served the outstanding warrant for arrest on Lee Michael Byerly at the Randolph County Detention Center. During the search of his belongings, deputies located multiple dosage units of a Schedule I controlled substance and drug paraphernalia in his possession. He was then taken before the magistrate and served his outstanding warrant for which he received a $2,000 secured bond.
The magistrate found probable cause for the additional charge of felony possession of Schedule I controlled substance and misdemeanor possession of drug paraphernalia. No bond was issued, and a first appearance was set for January 22, 2024, in Randolph County District Court.
