On March 17, 2027, Randolph County Sheriff’s Office Deputies in the area of US Hwy 220 Business South, Seagrove, observed a vehicle matching the description of one reported stolen in Guilford County pull into the parking area of the Ready Mart on US Highway 220 South. Upon investigation, it was confirmed to be the stolen vehicle. The driver was identified as Dalton Lewis Moody. He was arrested and transported to Randolph County Detention Center where the magistrate found probable cause for felony possession of a stolen motor vehicle and issued a $25,000 secured bond. A first appearance was set for March 18, 2024, in Randolph County District Court.
