On January 24, 2024, the Randolph County Sheriff's Office Sex Offender Registry Detective initiated an investigation into a report, wherein a juvenile was living at the same residence as Mark Anthony Elliott, a registered sex offender.
Following the investigation, charges were issued for Elliott for felony child/care in a sex offender home. On April 11, 2024, Elliott was located in Guilford County, arrested, and transported to the Guilford County Detention Center where he was served the warrant. Bond was denied and a first appearance was set for May 13, 2024, in Randolph County District Court.
