On January 16, 2024, the Randolph County Sheriff’s Office responded to Unity Street in Trinity in reference to a larceny/theft. Upon arrival, the victim provided information about a utility trailer that had been stolen.
Following an investigation, the Criminal Interdiction Unit sought charges against Christopher Wayne Shelton for felony larceny. The magistrate found probable cause for the charge and issued a warrant for arrest.
On April 11, 2024, Shelton was located in Davidson County, arrested and transported to the Davidson County Detention Center where he was served the warrant. He was issued a $2,500 secured bond and a first appearance was set for April 29, 2024, in Randolph County District Court.
