On April 28, 2024, the Randolph County Sheriff’s Office responded to US HWY 311 Sophia NC / 311 Flea Market in reference to fraud. Upon arrival, the victim reported that Samantha Nicole Wolfe had paid for an item with a counterfeit $100 bill. Wolfe was still on the scene and had another counterfeit bill in her possession. She was arrested and transported to the Randolph County Detention Center. During the intake process, Wolfe was found to have methamphetamine in her possession. The magistrate found probable cause for felony uttering forged instrument, felony forgery of an instrument, felony possession of a controlled substance on prison / jail premises. She was issued a $1,000 secured bond and a first appearance was set for April 29, 2024, in Randolph County District Court.
