On May 18, 2024, during a search, the Randolph County Sheriff’s Office and the Asheboro Police Department located Daren Ray Biddix near the intersection of E. Central Ave. and Greenwood Rd. after he had been seen in the area. Biddix had an outstanding order for arrest for failure to appear. During the search to arrest, heroin and paraphernalia were located. He was arrested and transported to the Randolph County Detention Center where the magistrate found probable cause for felony possession of heroin and misdemeanor possession of drug paraphernalia. He was also served his order for arrest for failure to appear on felony possession of Schedule II controlled substance, felony identity theft, and misdemeanor possession of drug paraphernalia. He was issued a $25,000 total secured bond. A first appearance was set for May 20, 2024, in Randolph County District Court.
