On June 10, 2024, Brittany Rae Ratley was charged with contempt of court. Randolph County Sheriff’s Office Bailiffs arrested Ratley. While in the holding area, Ratley began cussing and assaulting deputies but was quickly secured, searched, and placed in a holding cell. During a search of her personal property, Methamphetamine was located. She was transported to the Randolph County Detention Center where she will serve 30 days for the contempt.
Charges were sought against Ratley for misdemeanor assault on a government official and felony possession of methamphetamine and the magistrate found probable cause to issue a warrant. She was served the warrant and issued a $10,000 secured bond. A first appearance was set for June 14, 2024, in Randolph County District Court.
