On April 11, 2024, the Randolph County Sheriff’s Office received a report of a possible sex offense upon a minor. Following an investigation of the allegations, Criminal Investigation Detectives sought charges against Andrew Sanchez for three counts of Statutory Rape of a Minor <=15 years of age and the magistrate found probable cause to issue a warrant for arrest.
On July 8, 2024, Andrew Sanchez was located by the Criminal Apprehension Team on West Fairfield Rd. in High Point. He was arrested and transported to the Randolph County Detention Center where he was served his warrant. He was issued no bond and a first appearance was set for July 9, 2024, in Randolph County District Court.
