On July 17, 2024, the Randolph County Sheriff’s Office received a report of a suspicious vehicle pulling a utility trailer in the area of Fork Creek Mill Rd. in Seagrove. The caller stated that the trailer had come to rest after colliding with and damaging livestock fencing. The vehicle pulling the trailer had left the scene. After further investigation by the Randolph County Sheriff’s Office Criminal Interdiction Team Urban Unit, it was discovered that the utility trailer had been stolen from the Bachelor Creek Rd. area in Seagrove.
On July 18, 2024, after further information was gathered and established, detectives went to a residence on Hussey Williams Rd. in Seagrove, where they located the vehicle that was involved in the theft of the utility trailer. As a result, Joshua Steven Dunlap and Justin Marvin Michael Gardner were placed into custody and transported to Randolph County Detention Center where the magistrate found probable cause for the charges of felony larceny, felony possession of stolen goods, and misdemeanor injury to real property. They were both given no bond due to the Pretrial Integrity Act with a first appearance set for July 19, 2024, in Randolph County District Court.
On July 19, 2024, charges were filed against Ashley Loree Ray for felony larceny, felony possession of stolen goods, and misdemeanor injury to real property. She was located and transported to Randolph County Detention Center where she was served with her warrant. She was given no bond due to the Pretrial Integrity Act with a first appearance set for July 22, 2024, in Randolph County District Court.
