On July 24, 2024, the Randolph County Sheriff’s Office conducted a joint compliance check operation with NC Probation and Parole of registered sex offenders and other offenders across Randolph County. During the operation, Eric Bernard Allmond, II, a convicted felon, was found to be in possession of a firearm at his residence and it was seized. He was arrested and transported to the Randolph County Detention Center where the magistrate found probable cause for felony possession of a firearm by a felon. He was issued a $50,000 secured bond. He was also served with two counts of felony probation violation and issued an additional $50,000 secured bond. A first appearance was set for July 25, 2024, in Randolph County District Court.
