Between the dates of July 17, 2024, through August 13, 2024, Members of the Invictus Task Force conducted an undercover operation. During the course of the investigation, probable cause was developed to charge James Forrest Scruggs with Felony Solicitation of a Child by a Computer. Scruggs was transported to Forsyth County Detention Center where the magistrate issued a $25,000 secured bond and set a first appearance in Forsyth County District Court. The investigation is ongoing and anyone with information is asked to contact the Forsyth County Sheriff’s Office, Invictus Task Force representatives.
