On August 23, 2024, the Randolph County Sheriff’s Office responded to Finch Farm Rd., Trinity, in reference to a welfare check on a male subject. Upon arrival, the male was identified as Bret Thomas Doerle. During the investigation, it was determined that Doerle was on probation and subject to warrantless searches. During the search, marijuana, methamphetamines, and cocaine were located. He was arrested and transported to the Randolph County Detention Center where the magistrate found probable cause for felony possession with intent to sell and distribute methamphetamines, felony possession of cocaine, and misdemeanor possession of marijuana. Doerle received a $5,000 secured bond with a first appearance set for August 23, 2024, in Randolph County District Court.
