On August 29, 2024, the Randolph County Sheriff’s Office conducted a traffic stop on West Walker Ave., Asheboro. Upon approaching the vehicle, the driver was identified as William Alexander Muckenfuss. Muckenfuss stated that he didn't have a driver's license but provided an ID card. He was issued a citation for the violations. During a subsequent search, an illegal substance was located.
Muckenfuss was arrested and transported to the Randolph County Detention Center where the magistrate found probable cause for Felony Possession of Schedule II Controlled Substance. He was given a $1,000 Secure Bond. A first appearance was set for August 29, 2024, in Randolph County District Court.
