On March 27, 2023, the Randolph County Sheriff’s Office responded to Wayne White Rd., Pleasant Garden, in reference to communicating threats toward a juvenile victim, the family, and the victim’s school. The victim was receiving messages from an unknown person through the social media app Snapchat shortly after creating an account.
Following the investigation, charges were sought against Keylan Ar’rion Pitts of Boiling Springs, SC, for felony communicating a threat of mass violence on an educational property and misdemeanor communicating threats. The magistrate found probable cause to issue warrants.
On September 23, 2024, Pitts was located in Gaston County, NC, arrested and transported to the Gaston County Detention Center where he was served his warrants. He was issued a $25,000 secured bond and a first appearance was set for September 30, 2024, in Randolph County District Court.
