On December 5, 2024, the Randolph County Sheriff’s Office responded to Camellia Ln. in Randleman at the request of the NC Department of Adult Corrections - Probation and Parole division in reference to substances that were located while they were conducting a routine search at the residence of Tracey Canoy Corum and Jeffrey Lynn Corum, Jr., who are on active probation. A substance test performed by the Randolph County Sheriff’s Office resulted in the substance being identified as fentanyl. A further search produced a firearm. J. Corum is a convicted felon.
Both subjects were arrested by NC Probation for their violations and transported to the Randolph County Detention Center. Deputies sought charges against Jeffrey Corum for Felony Possession of a Firearm by a Felon, Felony Possession of Schedule II Controlled Substance, and Misdemeanor Possession of Marijuana. The magistrate issued a $10,000 secured bond on these charges and a $10,000 total secured bond for the probation violations.
Charges were sought against Tracey Corum for Misdemeanor Possession of Schedule II and Misdemeanor Possession of Marijuana and the magistrate found probable cause. The magistrate issued no bond on these charges and a $12,500 total secured bond on the probation violations.
Their first appearance was set for December 6, 2024, in Randolph County District Court.
