On February 3, 2025, the Randolph County Sheriff’s Office initiated a traffic stop on Hwy 64 E., Asheboro. The vehicle came to a stop near the intersection of E. Salisbury St. and E. Dixie Dr., Asheboro. The driver of the vehicle was identifited as Zachary Banks Todd.
During a subsequent search, the investigation, heroin and paraphernalia were located. Todd was arrested and transported to the Randolph County Detention Center, where the magistrate found probable cause for felony possession of heroin and misdemeanor possession of drug paraphernalia. He was issued no bond due to being out on pretrial release and a first appearance was set for February 3, 2025, in Randolph County District Court.
