On March 8, 2025, the Randolph County Sheriff’s Office responded to Lee Layne Rd., Ramseur regarding a stolen vehicle incident. Upon arrival, the caller reported that an unknown vehicle was in the driveway and the victim’s vehicle was missing. The tag on the vehicle returned to Destini Michelle Luck and with the security camera footage, deputies were able to positively identify Luck to be the person who had stolen the vehicle.
While enroute to the magistrate’s office another deputy located the stolen vehicle and conducted a traffic stop on Gold Hill Rd., Asheboro. Luck was arrested and transported to the Randolph County Detention Center where the magistrate found probable cause for felony larceny of a motor vehicle, felony possession of a stolen motor vehicle. She was issued a $10,000 secured bond and a first appearance was set for March 10, 2025, in Randolph County District Court.
