On December 17, 2024, the Randolph County Sheriff’s Office responded to Cherokee Trail, Pleasant Garden, in reference to Burglary In Progress. Upon arrival, deputies met with the victim who realized that a vehicle was also missing from the driveway. He provided surveillance video of the subject entering the residence through a window. Additional evidence was located that indicated the subject was Dustin Craig Patrick. Following the investigation, charges were sought against Patrick for Felony Break & Enter a Motor Vehicle, FelonyLarceny After Break/Enter, Felony Break/Enter Motor Vehicle, Felony Larceny of a Motor Vehicle and the magistrate found probable cause to issue a warrant. .
On February 28, 2025, Patrick was located, arrested, and transported to the Randolph County Detention Center where he was served his warrant. He was given no bond and a first appearance was set for March 3, 2025, in Randolph County District Court.
