
In December 2024, members of the Invictus Task Force initiated an investigation related to a call for service. During the investigation, Paula D. Stevison was identified as a suspect.
On March 7, 2025, Paula D. Stevison and Anthony David Beckworth (a registered sex offender living with Stevison), were taken into custody, Stevison was charged with two (2) counts of Felony child abuse, and Beckwork was charged with one (1) count on failure to register an online identifier. Stevison and Beckworth were transported to the Randolph County Detention Center where the magistrate issued a $50,000 secured bond for Stevison, and a $10,000 secured bond for Beckworth and set a first appearance for both defendants in Randolph County District Court for March 10, 2025. The investigation is ongoing and anyone with information is asked to contact the Liberty Police Department/HSI Task Force representatives.
