On March 15, 2025, the Randolph County Sheriff’s Office responded to McDaniel Rd., Asheboro, in an attempt to serve outstanding active orders on James Anthony Bullard. Upon encounter, Bullard fled on foot but was quickly apprehended and placed under arrest. During the search to arrest, illegal substances and paraphernalia were located.
Bullard was transported to the Randolph County Detention Center where the magistrate found probable cause for felony possession of methamphetamine, misdemeanor possession of schedule III controlled substance, misdemeanor possession of drug paraphernalia, and misdemeanor resisting a public officer. He was given no bond regarding his newly acquired charges.
He also was served his two outstanding orders and issued a $70,000 secured bond for those. A first appearance was set for March 17, 2025, in Randolph County District Court.
