On March 30, 2025, the Randolph County Sheriff’s Office conducted a traffic stop on I-74 near Exit 82, Randleman. During the investigation, paraphernalia was observed. The driver was identified as Dylan Paul Wright. During a subsequent search, a firearm and illegal substances were located. Wright is a convicted felon and was placed under arrest.
Wright complained of medical issues and was transported to Randolph Health for evaluation. Upon discharge, he was transported to the Randolph County Detention Center where the magistrate found probable cause for charges of felony possession of firearm by felon, felony maintain vehicle/dwelling/place for controlled substance, felony possession with intent to sell/deliver marijuana, felony possession with intent to manufacture/sell/deliver schedule II controlled substance, felony possession of methamphetamine, and felony possession of marijuana. He was issued a $15,000 secured bond and a first appearance was set for April 1, 2025, in Randolph County District Court.
