The Randolph County Sheriff’s Office Sex Offender Registry Detective received information that registered sex offender Jonathan Linden Brown had been arrested in Randolph County by a municipality. Brown’s last registered address was Davidson County. Following an investigation, Brown had been back in Randolph County for at least a month and had not notified the Sheriff’s Office of an address change. Any address change must be completed in writing and in person at the Sheriff’s Office within three business days of the change. Charges were sought against Brown for felony fail to notify new address - sex offender and the magistrate found probable cause to issue the warrant for arrest.
On April 2, 2025, Brown, confined at the Randolph County Detention Center, was served the warrant. He was issued a $75,000 secured bond and a first appearance was set for April 4, 2025, in Randolph County District Court.
