On July 26, 2024, the Randolph County Sheriff’s Office received a report of a possible sex offense upon a minor. Following an investigation of the allegations, Criminal Investigation Detectives sought charges against Rickey Deandra Hyatt of Groveport, OH.
During the November session of the Randolph County Grand Jury, a true bill of indictment was issued on Hyatt with full extradition for felony indecent liberties with a minor. This indictment was issued as a result of an investigation conducted by the Randolph County Criminal Investigations Division.
Hyatt was located and arrested in Ohio. He was extradited to Randolph County and served his indictment on April 22, 2025, and received a $75,000 secured bond. His court date was scheduled for April 28, 2025, in Randolph County District/Superior Court.
