On June 11, 2025, the Randolph County Sheriff’s Office responded to Archdale to meet with a caller regarding an assault incident that had occurred in Randolph County.
Following the investigation, charges were sought against Sean Michael Collins for felony assault inflicting serious injury, felony assault by strangulation, and felony child abuse-serious bodily injury, and the magistrate found probable cause to issue a warrant for arrest.
On June 12, 2025, Collins was located, arrested, and transported to the Randolph County Detention Center, where he was served his warrant. He was issued a $30,000 secured bond. A first appearance was set for June 13, 2025, in Randolph County District Court.
