On July 5, 2025, the Randolph County Sheriff’s Office initiated a traffic stop on US 311, Archdale. Upon approach, the driver was identified as James William Bullard, who had a suspended license. The vehicle had also not been registered or insured. During a subsequent search, methamphetamine and paraphernalia were located.
He was arrested and transported to the Randolph County Detention Center, where the magistrate found probable cause for felony possession of methamphetamine and misdemeanor possession of drug paraphernalia. He was issued a $3,000 secured bond, and a first appearance is set for July 7, 2025, in Randolph County District Court.
Bullard was also issued citations for the violations of driving while license revoked, fictitious registration plate, no insurance, borrow/registration plate, failure to register, and failure to maintain lane.
