On July 17, 2021, the Randolph County Sheriff’s Office Electronic House Arrest (EHA) Officers transported Damien Von Shealy Mitchell to the Randolph County Detention Center for a drug screening, which is a condition of his pretrial release. The test returned positive for illegal narcotics. He was taken before the magistrate, who found probable cause for felony electronic house arrest/violation. He was issued a $70,000 secured bond with a first appearance set for July 18, 2025, in Randolph County District Court.
Mitchell has been on EHA since May 14, 2025.
