On July 18, 2025, the Randolph County Sheriff’s Office Vice Narcotics Unit concluded an investigation relating to the distribution of narcotics in Randolph County. As a result of this investigation, Detectives, along with the assistance of the Emergency Response Team, executed a search warrant at the residence of William Chad Whitt on W O W Rd. in Randleman. During the search, Detectives located and seized fentanyl and items of drug paraphernalia.
As a result, William Chad Whitt was transported to the Randolph County Detention Center, where the magistrate found probable cause for the charges of felony possession of schedule II controlled substance and misdemeanor possession of drug paraphernalia. He received a $5,000 secured bond with a first appearance set for July 21, 2025, in Randolph County District Court.
