Toodle was taken before the magistrate in Sampson County, who issued no bond and set a court date in Randolph County District Court for October 6, 2025.
Sampson County charges: Felony flee/elude arrest with motor vehicle, felony possession of stolen motor vehicle, misdemeanor reckless driving -wanton disregard, misdemeanor driving while license revoked -not impaired revoked, misdemeanor resisting public officer, and misdemeanor child abuse.
He was issued no bond, and he has a first appearance in Sampson County on September 18, 2025.

On September 17, 2025, at approximately 8 am, the Randolph County Sheriff’s Office responded to Hanner Road, Randleman, in reference to a reported kidnapping.
A witness reported overhearing an argument between a male and female, and then observed the male, identified as Tyler Ray Toodle, enter a black Honda Civic and leave the residence at a high rate of speed. The child of the female, Iris Everly-Marie Fargis, was secured in a child's safety seat in the back seat of the vehicle and left with an unknown direction of travel.
An Amber Alert was issued, and charges were sought against Toodle for felony kidnapping, felony larceny of a motor vehicle, and misdemeanor driving while license revoked. The magistrate found probable cause and issued a warrant for arrest.
At approximately 11:00 am, the Sampson County Sheriff’s Office located the vehicle and then conducted a traffic stop, securing the child and placing Toodle under arrest. He was transported to Sampson County Detention Center and will be served his warrant.
Detectives are en route to Sampson County to unite Iris and her mother.
