On October 15, 2025, the Randolph County Sheriff’s Office Vice Narcotics Unit, the Guilford County Narcotics Task Force, and the Cary Police Department, concluded a joint investigation relating to the distribution of narcotics in Randolph County. As a result of this investigation, Detectives executed a search warrant at two separate locations in Randolph County, along with the assistance of the Randolph County Sheriff’s Office Criminal Interdiction Team and the Emergency Response Team, the Guilford County Narcotics Task Force, the Asheboro Police Department, and the NC State Bureau of Investigation. During the execution of the search warrants on Revelle Trl., Asheboro, and Heath Dairy Rd., Randleman, approximately 71.2 pounds (32.296 kgs.) of Methamphetamine was seized, along with two firearms and US currency.
As a result, Fabiola Gomez Barahona and Adalberto Vazquez Gomez were both arrested and transported to the Randolph County Detention Center. They were both charged with felony trafficking in methamphetamine and received a $350,000 secured bond each, with a first appearance scheduled for October 17, 2025, in Randolph County District Court.
