On October 21, 2025, while patrolling the Staley area, the Randolph County Sheriff’s Office encountered a male identified as Branson Wayne Pearson on Whites Chapel Rd. During a consensual search, methamphetamine and paraphernalia were located.
Pearson was arrested and transported to the Randolph County Detention Center, where the magistrate found probable cause for felony possession of methamphetamine and misdemeanor possession of drug paraphernalia. The magistrate issued a $3,000 secured bond, and a first appearance was set for October 22, 2025, in Randolph County District Court.
