On October 8, 2025, the Randolph County Sheriff’s Office responded to Cashatt Rd., Trinity, in reference to breaking and entering of a motor vehicle and theft of items.
Following an investigation by the Criminal Interdiction Team Urban Unit, Christopher Lee Roberts was developed as a suspect. On October 29, 2025, the Criminal Interdiction Team Urban Unit located and arrested Roberts who was already a wanted person for unrelated charges. On November 5, 2025, Roberts was charged additionally for felony break/enter motor vehicle with theft and felony possession of stolen goods. Roberts was given no bond due to the Pre-Trial Integrity Act, and a first appearance was set for November 7, 2025, in Randolph County District Court.
Roberts was also developed as a suspect in the larceny of items that had been reported from a construction site on Thayer Rd. in Trinity, NC. Charges were sought against him for felony larceny from a construction site and felony possession of stolen goods/property. On November 13, 2025, Roberts was served with his warrant and received a $7,500 secured bond with a first appearance set for November 17, 2025, in Randolph County District Court.
