On December 1, 2025, the Randolph County Sheriff’s Office conducted a traffic stop at the intersection of Old NC Hwy 13 and US 220 Alt., Asheboro.
During the investigation, Tina Marie Allen and Ricky Leon Small, Jr. were found to be in possession of illegal substances and paraphernalia. Both were arrested and transported to the Randolph County Detention Center, where the magistrate found probable cause, as follows:
• Smith – felony possession of methamphetamine, two counts of misdemeanor possession of marijuana paraphernalia, misdemeanor possession of drug paraphernalia, misdemeanor possession of marijuana up to ½ oz. She was also served her outstanding orders for arrest for failure to appear. She received a $25,000 total secured bond.
• Small – misdemeanor carrying concealed gun, misdemeanor possession of drug paraphernalia, and misdemeanor drive/allow registration plate not displayed. He was also served his outstanding orders for arrest for failure to appear. He received a $8,500 total secured bond.
A first appearance was set for December 1, 2025, in Randolph County District Court.
