On December 16, 2025, the Randolph County Sheriff’s Office responded to Jordan Rd., Ramseur, in reference to a theft in progress. Upon arrival, the deputy located a suspect, later identified as Luke Matthew Hodge, who had multiple items from the store hidden on him. Hodges was arrested and transported to the Randolph County Detention Center. After further search of property, illegal substances and paraphernalia were located.
The magistrate found probable cause for felony possession with intent to manufacture/sell/deliver a schedule II controlled substance, felony sell/deliver schedule II controlled substance, misdemeanor possession of marijuana paraphernalia, possession of marijuana up to 1/2oz., misdemeanor concealment of merchandise, and misdemeanor carrying conceal weapon. Hodges was given a $22,000 total secured bond and a first appearance was set for December 17, 2025, in Randolph County District Court.
