On November 23, 2025, the Randolph County Sheriff’s Office responded to Turnpike Ct., Thomasville, in reference to a vehicle theft. The victim was able to provide surveillance footage of a possible suspect.
After further investigation by the Criminal Interdiction Team Urban Unit, a suspect was identified. On December 3, 2025, with the assistance from the Davidson County Sheriff’s Office TRACE Team, the vehicle was located on Kindley Rd., Thomasville, along with Timothy James Hill, Jr. He was placed into custody and transported to the Randolph County Detention Center, where the magistrate found probable cause for the charges of felony larceny of motor vehicle, felony possession of stolen motor vehicle, misdemeanor first degree trespass enter/remain, and misdemeanor injury to real property. He was given no bond due to being out on pre-trial release. A first appearance was set for December 5, 2025, in Randolph County District Court.
