**UPDATE**
After further investigation, Strader Allen Briles was charged with felony possess stolen firearm, due to one of the firearms located during the search had been reported stolen.
On January 5, 2026, Briles was located, arrested, and transported to the Randolph County Detention Center, where he received no bond due to having pending criminal charges. His first appearance in Randolph County District Court is scheduled for January 6, 2026.

On November 18, 2025, the Randolph County Sheriff’s Office Vice Narcotics Unit, along with the Criminal Interdiction Team, searched a residence located on NC Hwy 49 S., Asheboro. During the search, Detectives located and seized Cocaine, Alprazolam, Amphetamine, THC Wax, and items of drug paraphernalia. Also located and seized were nineteen firearms, along with US Currency.
As a result, Strader Allen Briles was placed into custody and transported to the Randolph County Detention Center, where the magistrate found probable cause for the charges of two counts of felony possession with intent to manufacture/sell/deliver sch II controlled substance, felony possession with intent to manufacture/sell/deliver sch IV controlled substance, felony possession with intent to manufacture/sell/deliver sch VI controlled substance, felony maintain vehicle/dwelling/place for controlled substance, misdemeanor possess marijuana paraphernalia, and misdemeanor possess drug paraphernalia. He received a $20,000 secured bond with a first appearance set for November 19, 2025, in Randolph County District Court.
