Detectives with the Randolph County Sheriff’s Office have charged a suspect in connection with multiple construction site theft incidents in Randolph County.
On January 14, 2026, the Randolph County Sheriff’s Office responded to Beeson Farm Rd., Sophia, in reference to a larceny at a construction site. Evidence was collected for an investigation by the Criminal Investigations Division.
On February 9, 2026, detectives with the Randolph County Sheriff’s Office responded to a report of a larceny/theft of construction tools and items from Old Greensboro Rd., Randleman, that had occurred between February 6 and February 9, 2026.
During these investigations, a suspect was developed and was later identified as Julian Glenn Cross.
Following the investigation into the February 9th incident, charges were sought against Cross for two counts of felony larceny from a construction site and two counts of felony possession of stolen property from a construction site. The magistrate found probable cause and issued the warrant for arrest.
Cross, already confined in the Randolph County Detention Center, was served with the warrant in this incident on February 10, 2026. The magistrate issued a $100,000 secured bond, and a first appearance was set for February 11, 2026.
Following the investigation of the January 14th incident, charges were sought against Cross for felony breaking and or entering, larceny after break/enter, and misdemeanor possession of stolen goods/property. The magistrate found probable cause and issued a warrant for arrest.
Cross, still confined in the Randolph County Detention Center, was served with the warrant in this incident on February 13, 2025. The magistrate issued a $10,000 secured bond, and a first appearance was set for February 16, 2026, in Randolph County District Court.
