On May 13, 2023, the Randolph County Sheriff’s Office attempted to serve several outstanding processes on Christopher Allen Small at a residence on Cameron Circle, Asheboro. Upon arrival, a male was observed running behind a building and into the woods behind this residence. Deputies proceeded to what appeared as a hiking trail and entered the wooded area where they located Christopher Allen Small. He was arrested and escorted to the patrol car. During the search incident to arrest, he was found to be in possession of marijuana and schedule III controlled substance.
During a subsequent search of the area in which Small had been hiding, methamphetamine was located.
Small was transported to the Randolph County Detention Center where the magistrate found probable cause for charges of felony possession with intent to manufacture/sell/deliver methamphetamine, misdemeanor simple possession of a schedule III controlled substance, misdemeanor simple possession of marijuana, and misdemeanor possession of marijuana paraphernalia, and misdemeanor possession of drug paraphernalia. He was also served three outstanding processes: two orders for arrest for failure to appear on misdemeanor and felony probation violation. He was issued a $42,200 total secured bond with a first appearance set for May 15, 2023, in Randolph County District Court.
