On June 1, 2023, the Randolph County Sheriff’s Office responded to Holder Inman Rd., Randleman, in reference to a larceny/theft of a firearm that had occurred recently, but just discovered. During the investigation, it was learned that the firearm had been recovered by High Point Police Department during a traffic stop in the possession of Brittany Fay Harmon. Harmon had been at the victim’s residence in the last three weeks. Harmon, a convicted felon, was charged by High Point for felony possession of a firearm by a felon, felony carrying concealed gun and misdemeanor possession of drug paraphernalia. Bond was denied.

On June 2, 2023, Harmon, still confined in Guilford County Detention Center, was served the warrant. The magistrate denied bond and a first appearance was set for July 17, 2023, in Randolph County District Court.
