On March 1, 2023, the Randolph County Sheriff’s Office received a report of fraud.
Following an investigation by the Criminal Investigations Division Detectives, charges were sought against Evonna Lucas Seagraves for four counts felony obtain property by false pretense and four counts of felony identity theft.
On May 22, 2023, Seagraves was arrested and transported to the Randolph County Detention Center, where the magistrate issued a $15,000 secured bond and a first appearance was set for May 23, 2023, in Randolph County District Court.
This investigation is ongoing.
