On June 29, 2023, the Randolph County Sheriff’s Office responded to Richey Rd., Denton, in reference to found property from a larceny that had occurred on Jackson Creek Rd. Upon arrival, deputies located Annette Nichole Clontz walking away from a UTV and refused to stop when commands initially given. Clontz was eventually detained during the investigation. Following the investigation, She was arrested and transported to Randolph County Detention Center, where the magistrate found probable cause for felony larceny, felony possession of stolen goods/property, misdemeanor assault on government official, misdemeanor second degree trespass and misdemeanor resisting public officer. She was issued a $10,000 secured bond and a first appearance was set for June 30, 2023, in Randolph County District Court.
