On August 12, 2023, the Randolph County Sheriff’s Office responded to Old Thomasville Rd., Archdale, in reference to a suspicious person who had broken into a car. Upon arrival, the deputy was advised the subject had left the area on foot when confronted by the victim, however, a family member had located the suspect on Bethel Drive Ext. Deputies responded to Bethel Drive Ext. and located the suspect, later identified as Jeremy Wayne Khan.
When questioned, Khan claimed he was checking out the car because he believed it to be for sale. Khan was placed under arrest for felony breaking and entering a motor vehicle. He was transported to the Randolph County Detention Center where the magistrate found probable cause for the arrest. Khan was issued a $2,000 secured bond and a first appearance was set for August 14, 2023, in Randolph County District Court.
