On October 8, 2023, the Randolph County Sheriff’s Office responded to Shelton Country Rd., Liberty, in reference to a 911 hang-up call. Upon arrival, deputies located the victim who had made the call. The victim reported Isaiah Luke Overly had stolen money, taken the keys to a vehicle, and left. He had assaulted the victim during the struggle causing an injury. Later, Overly returned to the residence with the vehicle and deputies responded and took him into custody. Overly was transported to the Randolph County Detention Center where the magistrate found probable cause for felony larceny from the person, misdemeanor assault on a female, and misdemeanor unauthorized use of a motor vehicle. He was issued a secured bond of $3,000 and a first appearance was set for October 9, 2023, in Randolph County District Court.
