On November 8, 2023, the Randolph County Sheriff’s Office Criminal Apprehension Team assisted the NC Probation and Parole in the search for John Charles Dubitz. Upon arrival at the residence, Dubitz was located in the driveway and taken into custody. During a subsequent search, methamphetamine, paraphernalia and unidentified pills were located. He was transported to the Randolph County Detention Center and served with a probation violation and was advised he would have more charges at a later date.
On November 9, 2023, charges were sought against Dubitz and the magistrate found probable cause for felony possession of methamphetamines, felony possession of schedule II controlled substance and misdemeanor possession of drug paraphernalia.
On November 22, 2023, Dubitz was arrested and transported to the Randolph County Detention Center where he was served the outstanding warrant. A bond was denied and a court date was set for November 27, 2023, in Randolph County District Court.
