On December 2, 2023, Randolph County Sheriff’s Office Deputy conducted a traffic stop in the area of NC Hwy 62 and Regalwood Ct., Thomasville. The driver was identified as Drew Alan King. King provided the deputy with his wallet for his identification; upon inspection, paraphernalia was observed in the wallet. During a subsequent search, methamphetamine and additional paraphernalia were found.
King was placed under arrest and transported to the Randolph County Detention Center where the magistrate found probable cause for felony possession of methamphetamine, misdemeanor possession of drug paraphernalia, and no registration card. He was issued a $2,500 secured bond and a first appearance was set for December 4, 2023, in Randolph County District Court.
