On January 6, 2024, the Randolph County Sheriff’s Office Electronic House Arrest (EHA) Officers were made aware when Randleman Police Department responded to Upton St., Randleman, concerning a family fight. Upon their arrival, they located Cassidy Ann Black, who was impaired and required EMS to respond for evaluation. She was transported to an area hospital for treatment.
EHA Officers went to the magistrate’s office and sought charges for which the magistrate found probable cause for an EHA violation and issued an order for arrest.
On January 8, 2024, she was arrested and transported to the Randolph County Detention Center where she was served the order for arrest and received a $200,000 secured bond. A first appearance was set for January 9, 2024, in Randolph County District Court.
She was first placed on EHA on December 8, 2023, for robbery with a dangerous weapon.
While EHA Officers were recovering her charging equipment from her residence it was discovered that the equipment had been damaged. Black will be charged the replacement cost.
