On January 11, 2024, the Randolph County Sheriff’s Office responded to Georgia Dr., Sopha, in reference to a family fight.
Following the investigation, Gilbert Seth Hyatt was arrested and transported to the Randolph County Detention Center where the magistrate found probable cause for three counts of felony burning personal property, misdemeanor breaking and entering, misdemeanor interfering with emergency communications, misdemeanor interfere with emergency communications and misdemeanor assault on a female. The magistrate found probable cause and issued a $10,000 secured bond. A first appearance was set for January 12, 2024, in Randolph County District Court.
